https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/9fpwn222d88 Part 1 – starting at St Mocha I crossed the road and headed up to Edenmill Coffee shop via the John Muir Way. There is the option to go straight up to Buncrooks from here but I took a detour along old tracks to pop out on the way up to the Whangie. New was to capture trig 1 at Queens View aka Auchineden Hill. Bogtastic up there. Though the falled down gate and mud fest and downhill back onto the track to Burncrooks. I headed round Burncrooks anti clockwise then turned at the rock pile, passing Lily Loch and up to Duncolm and trig no. 2. Down and throw the trees and bog to Kilmannan reservoir then downhill all the way to St Mocha. 18km done

Part 2 – joined by my run buddies at St Mocha for running chat when I knew it would start to get sore. From Carbeth we headed over to Craigallian woods for fun and trails. Through the cow fields and onto the Gary Wright Way at Blanefield. We then made our way along the very muddy old Blanefield railway line west. So many trees down so lots of jumping to do. We even had to go under a fence where the tree had fallen raising the fence 6ft. We popped out onto the West Highland Way and turned left back towards Carbeth. So many walkers starting out on their walk, I did need to check it was still morning as I said ‘morning’ to them all. Final stop was St Mocha for a fabulous vegan square in a roll plus a coffee. 16km done.
