CHATELHERAULT PLUS DUKES MONUMENT

14/10/23 – Autumn is the best time of year. Can’t beat a chilly but sunny morning with crunchy leaves on the ground. Parking at Chatelherault park, Tilly and I covered 12km checking out all the trails around Chatelherault and even bumped into an old colleague. Great start to the weekend! The trails are all well sign posted and standard trail path with a little mud (or more if it’s been raining), it’s undulating with ups and down and steps near the Green bridge end. Good thing is there is a café and toilets for after.

02/03/24 – headed back to Chatelerhault but this time from Strathclyde Park. Across the River Clyde at the Watersports Centre then right heading south until met the Avon Bridge. Across and into the park following the meandering green walk path with ups, downs, steps, trees to climb, lovely Green Bridge and an oak wood. Slight detour to see the Dukes Monument then back into the park via the main house (didn’t have time for the coffee shop unfortunately) before finally rejoining the river path at the Avon Bridge.

The route I’ve includes is the longer version but can easily be adapted.
