Starting in Lennox Park the route went round the park, through the village then onto the Official West Highland Way. First wee climb was pretty quickly upon us but doesn’t last too long. Next up was the climb up to Mugdock, now that it a bit of a slog and killer. Through the hole in the wall, left onto the Khyber Pass and then right on the road . Next is a left into Craigallian woods. I love these woods, technical downhill on Rosie’s Rd (anyone know why it’s called this?) and then left on the WHW. Passing Craigallian Loch we kept going, WHW road crossing then a right onto the river trail. Another wee fast technical section then back onto the WHW all the way to Lennox park. Great finish line despite the uphill and handed a medal and bottle of beer from Jaw Brew. Result….1:06:40 5th female and 3rd FV40.
