BEINN DUBH

27/07/22 – Great run with Westerlands CC up Beinn Dubh and over to Mid Hill tonight. Another new hill for me. I’ve been along the path at the base many times taking part in the amazing Luss Fairy Trail but no chance the children would have traded fairies for a big hill.

Parking at the main car park in Luss we crossed the main road and over the A82 at Luss Primary School. Soon there was a sign post and it pointed up. That was it… up, up and up. Every time I remembered to turn round I was met with stunning views across Loch Lomond and beyond.

We reached the top of Beinn Dubh and then decided to continue a bit further over to Mid Hill. From there is was turn around and just head back the way we came.

Back at the carpark a few had been clever and brought a change of clothes so headed straight into Loch Lomond for a tip. Me, I brought cakes, my youngest had been baking so had some really tasty homemade blueberry muffins. They didn’t last long!
